I was over in my books section, and I saw the cover of Ceremony, by Leslie Marmon Silko. One of my favorite books out of the hundreds that I've read, I wish more people would read it. Considered one of the greatest books ever written within Native American Literature, it's quiet and elegant. There's silence in it. The plot isn't just bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-and-we're-done. It gives the reader time to think, time to collect their thoughts. I love not being forced to go 100 mph a second.
If anyone's read it, I'd be thrilled to discuss it with you. It's such a beautiful book.
